2011 AAM Annual Meeting Student and Professional Fellowships

NAME will fund three fellowships (two students and one New Museum Professional) for the 2011 AAM Annual Meeting in Houston. The Fellowship will include conference registration, a $500 travel stipend, and attendance at NAME events with a NAME mentor.

In addition to attending the conference, recipients are expected to attend the NAME evening event and the NAME luncheon, both of which will occur during the AAM Annual Meeting in Houston, and the details of which will be announced.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants for the Student Fellowship:
  • must be full-time graduate students engaged in an exhibition-related course of study in the United States
  • must not have previously attended the AAM Annual Meeting

Applicants for the New Museum Professional Fellowship:
  • must be working in the museum field with less than five years museum work experience
  • must not have previously attended the AAM Annual Meeting

Application

Eligible applicants should apply by sending:
Letter of interest (no more than two pages) which discusses your current course of study or work experience and career goals, indicates how attendance to the AAM Annual Meeting will benefit you and your course of study or work, and states how critical the financial award would be to your ability to attend the conference.

Letter of recommendation/support from an internship supervisor, work supervisor, or academic advisor
